History
Adams & Hayes Law was founded in 2000 by partners Therese A. Adams, Esq. and Susan E. Hayes, Esq. Ms. Susan Hayes is now retired from the firm. Ms. Adams, with 30 years experience in contract drafting and negotiation, focuses on Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate.
Ms. Adams is a wife, mother and grandmother. She is also a daughter. She is aware of the many changes facing families and is able to assist in finding solutions to those challenges.
Ms. Adams has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Business Administration from California Coast University. She received her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and holds the Associate of Risk Management certification from the Insurance Institute of America.
Ms. Adams is a member of the State Bar of California and the Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of California. She is also a member of the Bar Associations in Sacramento, Placer, Yuba, and Sutter counties, and a member of Women Lawyers of Sacramento.
Ms. Adams is outside Counsel to the Placer Land Trust, a private non-profit dedicated to the preservation and conservation of open space in Placer County.
Ms. Adams provided the legal work for Placer Land Trust on the acquisition of the Taylor Ranch.

Ms. Beverly Barranti joined Therese Adams in January 2002 as bookkeeper. Promoted to Office and Accounting Manager in July 2004, Ms. Barranti is responsible for Human Resources, Accounting and Office Administration for Adams & Hayes Law. In addition, Ms. Barranti is responsible for scheduling, travel arrangements and maintenance of office policy and procedures.
Prior to joining Adams & Hayes Law, Ms. Barranti retired from working 30 years for a transportation company in San Francisco, CA. During her tenure with that company she held management positions in Human Resources, Accounting, Purchasing, Employee Benefits, Accounts Receivable/Payable and Training. Ms. Barranti helped set up offices for this company in 30 states during her career.
Leticia Garcia Ms. Leticia Garcia is the firm's Senior Practice Assistant and assists the professional staff with many technical projects, Estate Planning document preparation and Trust Administration matters. Ms. Garcia has been with the firm for two years and is also completing her education at Sierra College . Ms. Garcia is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Elaine J. Giamona
Elaine brings to Adams and Hayes Law more than 15 years of paralegal experience in three California counties. She assists attorneys and works with our clients in all phases of estate planning, trust administration, conservatorships, and other specialized areas of the law. Elaine is also a licensed California real estate broker and certified residential property manager. Her experience and expertise make difficult and emotional processes a little easier for each client. Elaine is passionate about her three grandsons, and loves to travel. She is also a charter member of the newly formed Soroptimist International of Lincoln.
Our Community Commitment
With the establishment of Adams & Hayes Law, Ms. Adams has been committed to supporting local non-profits and other worthy organizations by providing pro-bono counsel and legal advice. Beneficiaries of these services include: Lincoln Arts, Lincoln Volunteer Firemens Association, WPCARE, Clover Valley Foundation, Neighbors Indeed and the Lincoln Hills Foundation, Light House Resource Center and theCommunity Foundation of Lincoln. |
